One week old!

Today at 6:30 pm Caroline will be one week old! I cannot believe that this week has gone by so fast! She is still the sweetest, smallest most precious little bitty thing in the world. She had a doctor's appointment this morning, and she still only weighs 5 pounds. I am bound and determined to get some meat on those little bones before her next weigh in on Tuesday. She NEVER has cried to eat, I have to basically force her to eat in her sleep every few hours. If she had it her way she would just sleep the day away... which she kind of does.....
I love this picture... Corbin is super proud of his armband he got at school last week. he won't take it off, he has Chris dry it with a blow dryer every night after his bath.. He was showing it off to baby Caroline. He calls it his watch. He just loves her so much!
Claire was hanging out with Caroline on the couch. She loves to be right where Caroline is. She insists on feeding her. Every time I change her diaper she asks me about her umbilical cord...
My brother and soon to be sister in law came over last night!
Here is great grandmother maw-maw with my girls!
All snug after a bath
pretty big sister.....
Thank you again to all of our friends who have come by with such nice things. It is very sweet for everyone to think of us during this super special time!

Nana, Claire and Corbin made this birthday cake for Caroline. I though it was so sweet that they made her very first birthday cake! Thank you Nana!

Thankful...

We are home and all is well with the Barrow 5! I cannot begin to tell you how thankful I am for my beautiful family. Corbin and Claire LOVE their new baby sister. They love (fight over) feeding her and holding her. Corbin is very gentle with her, and Claire is learning to be. Caroline is SUCH a good baby! She eats, sleeps, poops, and sleeps some more. She rarely cries, and when she does it is a sweet sound. I am so thankful for our friends and family who have been so sweet to us. Thank you to everyone who has come to visit, who has brought us gifts for Caroline, and to those who have brought us dinner. It has been so very nice!
I love my baby girl!
Baby blue eyes! I am telling you she looks just like her brother and daddy!

Caroline Louise is here!

We are so proud to introduce baby Caroline! She is just precious, and we are so very happy she is here and healthy! She is itty bitty! Well, to us she is since Corbin weighed 9'4 and Claire 8'10. Caroline made her entrance on January 5th at 6:30 PM. She weighed 5 lbs 7 ounces and 19.5 inches long. She came 2 weeks early much to our surprise! Here is her little delivery story! Tuesday I had a scheduled appointment at 1:15. I went in and told my doctor I had a few concerns. I told him that I felt like she wasn't moving much and that I thought I was leaking fluid. They did an ultrasound, and her little cord was around her neck, she wasn't moving much and her fluid wsa low.... So over to the hospital I went, and a few hours later my sweet baby Caroline was here. My C-Section went super well, I feel really well. I am just so thankful for my doctor who brought my sweet daughter into this world saftely! We are very blessed with this sweet girl! Corbin and Claire love her already! I will post more pictures soon!
She looks JUST like Corbin did when he was born. I really think she looks just like her Daddy!!!!!
That's my girl! Showing off what she can do!

Happy New Year! Happy Birthday Nana! Happy Baby Shelby!

Happy Birthday Nana! We hope you had a great birthday! We love you!
Chris set of fireworks at Jimmy and Natalie's house. June, Corbin and Claire really liked them. Corbin wasn't that thrilled about them at first, but now he askes if we have anymore.
This picture just makes me laugh out loud. If you look really carefully you will see why. The kids are playing dress up. Corbin and Claire have on earrings, princess shoes and accessories! Corbin put his earrings on at the top of his ears. She will play transformers and blocks with him, and he will play princess with her... whatever makes them happy!
Junie loving the fireworks! She was not scared one bit!
Corbin and his new cousin Shelby! He thought she was a doll at first, and basically grabbed her head. He then realized she was "real", and he wanted to hold her.
Corbin and Claire watching the fireworks.
Grammy and Claire loving on baby Shelby. Claire called her Caroline a lot that night. I think both my kids are going to be a little confused when Caroline comes.
Chris set off some fireworks later at home. The kids wanted to watch from the window.
Corby holding a sparkler!
The kiddos helping Nana blow out candles!

My niece is here!

My niece Shelby was born last night! She is BEAUTIFUL and healthy! We kept June while Natalie went to the hospital yesterday. My kids LOVED having Junie here. They did not leave her alone. She was trying to eat lunch, and the kids wanted to "see" her so they got chairs and ate off her plate with her. I made June mac and cheese, Claire decided she wanted some too, so they shared. The might have shared the same spoon, I will never tell. I at one point had three sippy cups out, one for each kid... they all shared... cousinly love. The kids had a really fun time, they all ended up in the bath together too, didn't get a pic of that....
I am so happy that my niece Shelby is here. I am so glad that Natalie had such a great delivery! Holding Shelbs today got me all excited about baby Caroline... I am not going to say I am not a little nervous about three kiddos, but I am really excited and ready! Two weeks from tomorrow and we will be a family of 5! I am really excited to see how Corbin and Claire react to Caroline, time will tell!
Junie LOVED the fish. She might just be getting her own for her birthday!!!!

Christmas 2009

We had a super wonderful Christmas 2009! We spent a lot of time with the family, and really enjoyed watching the kids. We went to the Barrows house Christmas Eve for a nice dinner! Christmas Morning we spent at home watching the kids open presents, and enjoy what Santa brought. Christmas afternoon we went to my mom and dad's house for a really nice time! Everything about Christmas Eve and day was just great! The picture above is of Claire with her new life size Ballerina my mom got her. She loves her very much!
Here is Claire waiting for mom to open her doll! Claire doesn't have clothes on because she wanted to change 5 trillion times into a different dress. All Claire wants to ever wear is a dress. Sounds fun until you live it. The catch is she only wants certain dresses, mostly sleeveless summer ones , and she will NOT wear socks or hose or leggings with them. Today she is sporting a dress that is WAY too small and looks more like a shirt. It is sleeveless and the heater is on... some battles are not worth fighting!

Here is Corbin and Uncle Joseph. Corbin enjoyed playing with all the guys. Since there are only girl cousins for him, he hangs out with Chris, Jimmy and Joseph. They make up all sorts of ridiculous competitive games that they play.
Claire opening her mr. potato head
Here is Pa and my sweet nice June. I didn't get any pictures of Sophie b/c she fell asleep when the present opening began.
Mom and her special boy!
The kids right when we got to mom's house. They were looking around scoping out the presents!
Our house Christmas morning! The kids would tear open presents, look at it for 2 seconds then move on to the next one. It was a bit chaotic!
Corbin got a lot of Transformers which he LOVES!
Here is Claire looking in awe at her new princess movie. She LOVES princess!
opening presents!

The kids made cookies with Nana Christmas Eve. They left them out for Santa. Corbin thought this was really cool!
Ready for Santa!
This is Claire Christmas Eve with her new princess jammies that Poof got her. She loves them! She danced all around like a princess!
Corbin and Claire opeing presents at Nana and Paw Paw's house
Claire being a silly baby!
Corbin and Claire with Nana and Paw Paw! This is them making cookis. The kids really liked this. They made a huge mess with the sprinkles!
Anyone who knows Chris well, knows his favorite food is queso. I think Claire takes after her daddy. She stood with a spoon and the entire bowl of queso and went to town. I am not kidding when I say she ate it by the spoonful. She is a double dipping queen!
Making cookies!
Nana and her grandbabies! In less than three weeks there will be three!
