Enough already!
Good news first: Happy Birthday Aunt Natalie & thank you for taking such beautiful first birthday pictures of sweet Caroline! Shelbyjunephotography.com!This sweet little sugar filled baby has been super sick this weekend! Here is a little re-cap of what we have been up to around here. Thursday I picked Caroline up from the babysitter and she had a low grade fever. Fri she still had a fever and a tiny cough, but nothing too bad. Friday night she continued with a fever that continued to get higher. Her cough also got worse, and she was throwing up due to coughing so hard. Saturday I took her to the urgent care. They said she had bronchitis and a ear infection. They put her on a few medicines and breathing treatments. The whole day she continued to have a fever, and the night was NO FUN! Sunday same as Saturday.. Fever, coughing so hard she would puke, not eating and barely drinking gatorade. Sunday night we thought she might have improved a tiny bit, we were wrong. Late Sunday night her fever spiked again. Monday I took her to her pediatrician concerned that the antibiotics didn't seem to be kicking in, and her fever was still high after three days. He gave her a HUGE antibiotic shot in her bottom. She screamed like I have never heard her scream. She was really lethargic, so he wanted to check her again that afternoon. I brought her back that afternoon, and she seemed a tiny better. Then the night she seemed to be slightly improving, but still with fever. He wanted to see her again this morning to make sure her lungs were clear and that the shot was working. Chris stayed home with her today. She is SO much better than yesterday, thank God for that shot. He took her today, and said she FREAKED out when she saw the dr. The dr said she is on the right track. She has lost a few pounds, so she is pretty tiny looking :(. Tonight she has seemed so much better. Then I was laying with the big kids getting them to sleep while Chris was rocking her to sleep with her bottle and breathing treatment... I hear him call me for help. She started coughing really hard and THROWING UP EVERYWHERE.. HE was covered, I took her to the sink and she continued to throw up some yucky stuff.... He went to lay with the big kids, and I went to give her the third bath of the day. In the bath she decided it would be fun to poop in the tub! I called Chris in to watch her while I Cloroxed the tub and got her ready for another bath, her 4th. Chris told her she better not pee on the rug because we already had a big enough laundry pile due to the puking and poop!Enough already! Hopefully tomorrow will be a healthy day! Chris had the house so clean, dinner made and all the laundry done when I got home with the big kids from gymnastics... due to the chaos tonight, our house now looks like a HOT MESS.
** I forgot one part. Chris got a call from Claire's school that she was running a low fever, I was already on my way to get the kids since it was after my school got out... Tonight she has seemed fine. We are keeping our fingers crossed!!!

Caroline's big ONE day!!!
* when I picked up Corbin from school on her b-day all the teachers told me that all day long he told everyone that it was his baby sister's birthday. Corbin and Claire are so proud of Caroline. It is really adorable to watch siblings... There are times they are meaner than mean to each other, but at the end of the day the LOVE is undeniable. We are pretty BLESSED with three of the most precious babies. We have a lot to be thankful for.. have to run, Claire is putting diaper rash medicine on her babies...

My baby is ONE!
My beautiful blond hair blue eyed beauty. Today you turn one. I will never forget the day you were born, when you cried your super soft first sweet cry my heart melted. You were so tiny, you still are. You are our first baby to not meet the weight requirement of 20 pounds to be able to face the front in your car seat at ONE. In the last year you have changed so much. You went from a little bitty newborn that slept to a baby that likes to wake up all night long. You do like your crib though more than the others did. You are a sweet girl, you like to put your head on people's shoulder. You point your finger to tell people no. You are not a good eater- at all. You do love suckers though, and that is why at 6:30 AM I gave you a birthday sucker! You throw some major fits. You lock your jaws and shake your fists and head. You laugh a really cute belly laugh. You love to play and explore. You also like to put any little thing off the floor into your mouth. You are our first baby that did not have to get tubes in their ears by 1 year old, and we thank you for that! You love to sit in laps, and LOVE for your daddy to rock you to sleep. You are easy going, and just go with the flow. For early on we have toted you around everywhere, and you do so well. You now love your baths again, you did go through a phase of hating them. You have cute red chapped little cheeks, and sparkling eyes. Your one bottom tooth is adorable. You are the queen of hand-me down clothes. You have quite the wardrobe built up thanks to Claire. You love youtr brother and sister, but hate it when they take things away from you or pick you up to move you. You are beautiful, and our baby girl & there is really no way of describing how much we love you and your brother and sister. Being your parents is challenging at times, but the most rewarding, wonderful thing in the world. We love you sweet Caroline. You are just the sweetest little Carolina inthe world! Happy One Birthday! I know you are going to love the cake that Daddy, Corbin and Claire made for you last night.

Big things happening around here...
And our big man. He was not liking the fact that I took a picture of the girls and not him. He wanted me to take a picture of his haircut Grammy gave him today.

Life in 2010...
I copied this template and idea from another blog- here is my shot at it...
In 2010, I gained a sweet baby girl! 5 days into 2010 Caroline Louise joined our family!
I lost the ability to keep a clean house and the laundry done.
I stopped even trying to keep a clean car- just can't happen.
I started to not care who was watching me or my kids when they were throwing level 5 fit in public- I am sure they have been there, or will be one day.
I was hugely satisfied by how well we have been able to handle these three monkeys. The logistics of three were hard at first, but I feel like we have it under control- most of the time..
And frustrated by how there are so many things I should have written down that the kids said or did- and didn't
I am so embarrassed that I never sent out birth announcements for Caroline- I promised myself I would do everything for her that I did for the first two...
Once again, I made sure my kids had fun each and every day.
Once again, I made sure they felt loved each and every day too.
The biggest physical difference between me last December and this December is I am not pregnant.
The biggest psychological difference between me last December and this December is I forget everything unless it is on my calendar.
I loved spending time at the beach with my family.
Why did I spend even two minutes worrying about things that don't matter.
I should have spent more time writing things down.
I regret not much..
I will never regret spending time with my kids.
I woke up during the night way too much.
Waking up with these three every few hours during the night nearly drove me crazy.
The most relaxing place I went was the beach
Why did I not win the lottery last night?
The best thing I did for someone else was make sure everyday was a good one for my babies
The best thing I did for myself was spend time with my family
The best thing someone did for me was make me feel loved and special-
