All is well...

Caroline is all well! We are so glad! It took a full 5 days, but she is back to normal. She has a few teeth coming in that are bothering her a little bit, but other than that she us back to her adorable little self. Corbin loves to play with her. He is so good with her, and kind of just does whatever she wants him to do. He pushes her around on this toy a lot, and she loves it.
As you know Claire LOVES to play babies.. she likes for Caroline to be her doll most of all. Poor Caroline was sick in this picture, and didn't put up her usual fight to escape Claire.. Claire took advantage of the situation, and it looks like she took advantage of some lipstick too :).
Our little monkey.
I went to get the mail, and this is what happened in the two seconds I was gone. Claire decided Caroline needed more cheerios and that was that. They were EVERYWHERE. Claire said they were "digging" in them, whatever that meant.
Today me and my main man made some valentines cupcakes.
Once again the best money we have ever spent.
Chris went to get coffee today with Claire, and that is why we had three cups. He said he told her he was going to just share his with her, and she threw a massive Claire fit. She won that battle.
Claire decorating cupcakes. We had a great weekend! We hung out at home a lot, went to dinner with some friends Friday, and had a date night Saturday that was fun! Thanks Debra and Harold for watching the kiddos!

Enough already!

Good news first: Happy Birthday Aunt Natalie & thank you for taking such beautiful first birthday pictures of sweet Caroline! Shelbyjunephotography.com!

This sweet little sugar filled baby has been super sick this weekend! Here is a little re-cap of what we have been up to around here. Thursday I picked Caroline up from the babysitter and she had a low grade fever. Fri she still had a fever and a tiny cough, but nothing too bad. Friday night she continued with a fever that continued to get higher. Her cough also got worse, and she was throwing up due to coughing so hard. Saturday I took her to the urgent care. They said she had bronchitis and a ear infection. They put her on a few medicines and breathing treatments. The whole day she continued to have a fever, and the night was NO FUN! Sunday same as Saturday.. Fever, coughing so hard she would puke, not eating and barely drinking gatorade. Sunday night we thought she might have improved a tiny bit, we were wrong. Late Sunday night her fever spiked again. Monday I took her to her pediatrician concerned that the antibiotics didn't seem to be kicking in, and her fever was still high after three days. He gave her a HUGE antibiotic shot in her bottom. She screamed like I have never heard her scream. She was really lethargic, so he wanted to check her again that afternoon. I brought her back that afternoon, and she seemed a tiny better. Then the night she seemed to be slightly improving, but still with fever. He wanted to see her again this morning to make sure her lungs were clear and that the shot was working. Chris stayed home with her today. She is SO much better than yesterday, thank God for that shot. He took her today, and said she FREAKED out when she saw the dr. The dr said she is on the right track. She has lost a few pounds, so she is pretty tiny looking :(. Tonight she has seemed so much better. Then I was laying with the big kids getting them to sleep while Chris was rocking her to sleep with her bottle and breathing treatment... I hear him call me for help. She started coughing really hard and THROWING UP EVERYWHERE.. HE was covered, I took her to the sink and she continued to throw up some yucky stuff.... He went to lay with the big kids, and I went to give her the third bath of the day. In the bath she decided it would be fun to poop in the tub! I called Chris in to watch her while I Cloroxed the tub and got her ready for another bath, her 4th. Chris told her she better not pee on the rug because we already had a big enough laundry pile due to the puking and poop!Enough already! Hopefully tomorrow will be a healthy day! Chris had the house so clean, dinner made and all the laundry done when I got home with the big kids from gymnastics... due to the chaos tonight, our house now looks like a HOT MESS.
** I forgot one part. Chris got a call from Claire's school that she was running a low fever, I was already on my way to get the kids since it was after my school got out... Tonight she has seemed fine. We are keeping our fingers crossed!!!

Daddy Day Care

Saturday Chris and his dad took the big kids to the Boat Show. The kids had fun, and I think they wore Daddy and Paw Paw out. Corbin and Claire both caught a bunch of fish which I think was the highlight of their day!
My little fisherwoman
My little fisherman
While they were all at the boat show I had a super fun day with my friend Lindsay and this little stinker. We went out to lunch and shopping. It was a fun little girls day. Today we have just been hanging out. I kind of like this weather, we have had a fun day just playing and making a mess. Corbin and I did jump on the trampoline for a bit. Jumping on the trampoline right after it rains= a really fun time :)! I love that we have a three day weekend! WOO HOO!!!

First Birthday Party

Today we had Caroline's first birthday party! We had a great time with friends and family! Here are just a few pictures from her big day! Caroline was not very happy at the beginning of the party, cranky and just not herself, but she turned it around and had a great time!
Caroline's Aunt Natalie did this very special amazing picture for the party! She is so talented, and this was very special. VERY SPECIAL!
My sweet baby girl liked her sweet cupcakes.
Here are a few of the babies! You can see Caroline is screaming her head off... it was her party and she cried because she wanted to.
My cousin Emily MADE this BEAUTIFUL blanket and sweet doll for Caroline. So beautiful and special. These are things she will have the rest of her life. Thank you Emily, I LOVE THEM!
Playing!
This is the funniest face to Chris and I. Caroline shakes her little body, stiffens up and clenches her jaw. It is so funny. kind of her party trick!

My friend that made the girl's dresses made this ADORABLE shirt for her little boy to wear. It was a hit! We may or may not be making sure they fall in love :).
I have a lot more pictures that I will post. It was a super fun day to celebrate my super fun girl! It is birthday time around here, Claire and Corbin's are coming up too!

Caroline's big ONE day!!!

My sweetness had a great first birthday. She started her day in style at 6:30 AM with a birthday sucker!
The big kids made her a special cake..
They worked really hard decorating it.
Here she is in Claire's first b-day shirt.
Happy birthday to you sweet girl!
AHHH the mess.
So cute, and so worth the ridiculously messy clean up.
Corbin and Claire decided it would be fun to join in the messy face fun.
Princess...
It is hard to believe our baby is one. She had a fun day, and really thought her cake was fun.
* when I picked up Corbin from school on her b-day all the teachers told me that all day long he told everyone that it was his baby sister's birthday. Corbin and Claire are so proud of Caroline. It is really adorable to watch siblings... There are times they are meaner than mean to each other, but at the end of the day the LOVE is undeniable. We are pretty BLESSED with three of the most precious babies. We have a lot to be thankful for.. have to run, Claire is putting diaper rash medicine on her babies...

My baby is ONE!

My sweet baby Caroline,
My beautiful blond hair blue eyed beauty. Today you turn one. I will never forget the day you were born, when you cried your super soft first sweet cry my heart melted. You were so tiny, you still are. You are our first baby to not meet the weight requirement of 20 pounds to be able to face the front in your car seat at ONE. In the last year you have changed so much. You went from a little bitty newborn that slept to a baby that likes to wake up all night long. You do like your crib though more than the others did. You are a sweet girl, you like to put your head on people's shoulder. You point your finger to tell people no. You are not a good eater- at all. You do love suckers though, and that is why at 6:30 AM I gave you a birthday sucker! You throw some major fits. You lock your jaws and shake your fists and head. You laugh a really cute belly laugh. You love to play and explore. You also like to put any little thing off the floor into your mouth. You are our first baby that did not have to get tubes in their ears by 1 year old, and we thank you for that! You love to sit in laps, and LOVE for your daddy to rock you to sleep. You are easy going, and just go with the flow. For early on we have toted you around everywhere, and you do so well. You now love your baths again, you did go through a phase of hating them. You have cute red chapped little cheeks, and sparkling eyes. Your one bottom tooth is adorable. You are the queen of hand-me down clothes. You have quite the wardrobe built up thanks to Claire. You love youtr brother and sister, but hate it when they take things away from you or pick you up to move you. You are beautiful, and our baby girl & there is really no way of describing how much we love you and your brother and sister. Being your parents is challenging at times, but the most rewarding, wonderful thing in the world. We love you sweet Caroline. You are just the sweetest little Carolina inthe world! Happy One Birthday! I know you are going to love the cake that Daddy, Corbin and Claire made for you last night.

Big things happening around here...

Caroline has a tooth!! WOO HOO! Finally, in the last week her first little toother came through! The last two days she has also really been walking. She can walk across a room now, so sweet to watch. It is also a little funny since she is still so tiny. It almost doesn't look like she should be able to walk yet. She turns ONE on Wednesday! Such a sweet, sweet, baby girl.
Claire got her ears pierced! Sunday I took Claire to get it done. She has been asking for a while, and I finally took her. She was so brave, cried for a minute and then was so proud of them. She loves them, and they look really cute!

And our big man. He was not liking the fact that I took a picture of the girls and not him. He wanted me to take a picture of his haircut Grammy gave him today.
