OCTOBER FUN!

October is my far one of the most eventful months for our family! We have a lot of birthdays this month, and a lot of weekend fun stuff we like to do in October. My little brother Joseph and his fiance are having an engagement party next weekend, we are very excited for them!

This is a pic Of Grammy and Claire from the big October birthday party we had at my mom's last Saturday. We celebrated 5 birthdays! Sunday My in-laws had a very nice birthday party for me too!

Here is Maw-Maw with all her great grandchildren from our family... Come January two more little girls will be on her lap... Corbin is so outnumbered..

Last night my brother Jimmy and sister in law Natalie had the crew of cousins over... The cousins all decorated pumpkins which was really a lot of fun. Later this month we will have our annual carving pumpkin day. Before we decorated pumpkins Natalie took Halloween pics of the kids.. they are adorable!

Corbin and Chris making their Batman pumpkin!

I love this picture. Corbin really loves Batman so much. He wouldn't take any pictures without the mask...He said they were his eyes.

My two precious little kids.

Natalie was pretending to be Elmo the whole time she was taking her pictures... it definitely got her to smile.

Thanks Aunt Natalie for a night of fun!

Thank You!

Do I have the best little family or what? Chris, Corbin, Claire and baby 3 made my day very special. I love them all so very much. Thank you to all my friends and family for making my birthday so special! If having birthdays didn't mean getting a year older I would want them more often. This is the first birthday where I have heard that I am getting old.... oh well! It was a great day and I am excited about the rest of the weekend's birthday plans! (I don't think I have ever had so many birthday cakes in my life. My sweet friend Missy made one, Chris and the kids made one, then there is another today)

Happy Birthday Mommy!!!!!

We wanted to wish you a very Happy Birthday to the best mother, wife, and friend a husband and our children could possibly wish for. You are selfless, loving, patient, and do everything you can in every way to make our lives better and never ask for anything in return.

We love you so much and hope you have a great day...even if it did start at 3:30 am when the house alarm went off and sent Corbin into a terrified screaming fit... :)

So last night, Corbin, Claire, and I took Sara to the Aquarium for an early birthday dinner.

The kids were very excited because they were going to see all of the fish...and of course the first place we walked into upon entering the restaurant was the Gift Shop...luckily we were able to escape without damage (that part came after dinner) and we headed upstairs.

The kids loved the huge aquariums with all of the big fish.

As difficult as it was, we managed to wrangle the kids into sitting down and as usual Claire did a good job of eating and Corbin was force fed a few scraps of food before escaping to get a closer look at the fish.

...and the kids posed with promise of a prize from the gift shop...

As we were leaving, Corbin, Claire, and mommy hand in hand, we spotted the sea turtle and shark snuggling together taking a nap. The kids loved it.

After the kids each picked out a stuffed animal to add to the vast collection at home, all was right in the world and we set off for home. It was a fun night and a great way to spend a birthday dinner with mommy.

We love you.

A HOT day at the zoo!!!!!

We spent Saturday morning at the zoo! All I have to say is it was VERY hot! The kids had a great time, and as parents when your kids are happy you are happy too! I think the part that they loved best was feeding the ducks and turtles. We brought a bunch of bread to feed them. Claire and Corbin both thought that was pretty great. Claire liked looking at the animals from a distance, she wasn't to sure about being up close and personal with them. Corbin on the other hand LOVED the kids petting zoo. He really liked brushing all the animals.
This is a little pre zoo pic that I thought was so funny. The kids like to take all the cushions off the couch, why I have no idea. They do this a million times a day. Our next couch will have cushions that cannot come off. They decided to gather all the babies from the house and play with them. They really do play together a lot. Corbin kind of tells Claire what to do, and as long as she listens all is well. As we speak they are playing hide and go seek. Chris is sitting by me on the couch and Claire has come to hide under our legs every time. Corbin is catching on.
Pretty girl.
Claire loves elephants. There is a Barney episode with zoo animals that we watch over and over. Her favorite part is the elephants.
This is how they watched the meercats.
Chris and the kiddos.

Claire likes to do EVERYTHING that Corbin does. She climbed right up next to him at each animal exhibit.
Here they are feeding the ducks and the turtles. The zoo did a really good job redoing this pond. The kids really liked this part of the zoo. This is the only part of the zoo, which is probably why I liked it the best too. I am still baffled that when my mom was a kid it was FREE to go to the zoo. Now it is 10 bucks a person for adults and 6 for kids. baffled.
Despite the heat we had a really fun day! We packed lunches and had a little zoo picnic. The kids both fell asleep in the car afterward which is always a bonus for us!

Weekend Fun!

Most Sunday mornings I take the kids to my mom and dad's house. Chris stays home and does the yard, and gets his manly chores done. The kids love going to Grammy and Pa's house. We eat breakfast and play outside. Today we also walked to the park in my parent's neighborhood. This is Claire eating a biscuit outside...
I got these suckers for the kids. They trade every couple of minutes. I know it sounds gross to trade suckers, but it keeps them happy and that is all that matters to me.
Mom was reading Corbin this book. Claire cannot let anything happen without her being right up in the mix. She climbed right up in Grammy's lap to steal the spotlight...
Corbin loves the park. He is pretty self sufficient at the park these days which is nice. He just runs all around doing whatever makes him happy!
My precious boy!
Sophie riding the horse at the park
This is a one seater stroller that quickly became a stroller for 2. They were worn out after the park and didn't want to walk home. Corbin just climbed on in with Claire...
Sweet babies.
Last night I thought we would try making our own pizzas. The kids thought it was pretty cool. I got each of them their own to make. Smart move on my part! They actually turned out pretty good for being made by a 3.5 and 1.5 year old.
Afterward the fun continued with making our own ice cream. Corbin had more gummy bears on his than I have ever seen. Claire put M&M's on hers, and ate them off one by one. They didn't eat much of the ice cream, but definitely ate all the candy off. We had a fun weekend here at the Barrow house!

Is someone a little jealous???

Today I was cleaning out Corbin's closet and drawers. Claire decided she wanted to help which always makes it so much fun... She pulled out the infant carseat and dragged it all around the house. She then sat in it and pretended to be a baby. She has been playing with it all morning. Little does she know that she has a little sister on the way that it now belongs to.

Corbin's Halloween costume came in the mail. He loves it so much. He has worn it every day since it came in. He totally gets into the Batman character as soon as he puts it on. Here is a picture of Corbin trying to wrestle PawPaw. Claire plays a long too. She just gives a little "love pat" here and there. (aka hit)
Brian was in town this week. The kids enjoyed playing with him!

Nothing like eating ice cream outside in your play house. The kids love popsicles and ice cream. As long as they are outside eating it I am all for it. The dogs really like it when they eat ice cream outside. Claire eats about half of it, and then shares the rest with them.
This week all the acorns fell from the tree in our front yard. The kids thought this was the coolest thing ever. They gathered them all off the sidewalk and threw them all into the street. It was free entertainment and it lasted a long time. We will definetly do this agin, for some reason it just really made them extra happy.
My sweet babies.... sometimes they love each other and give kisses. Other times I feel like I spend the majority of the day breaking up fights.
The other night in the bathtub they decided to take turns drinking the water. Corbin started this great game. Claire does anythign and everything he does. It was really cute...
Here is a little update on the kiddos...
Corbin- He still loves school very much. They are very big on teaching manners, so he is really getting good about using them. He loves playing Batman, and jumping off of everything he can climb on. He is a very sweet boy.. he is constantly saying he loves us and giving hugs. He is very excited about Halloween this year! He loves to play hide and seek. This week he has slept in his big boy bed twice. He is not a big fan of it, but learning to like it. Both of those nights I too slept in Corbin's big boy bed. All in all he is the sweetest boy
Claireb- Claire is very into being a princess. She has a princess dance that she does all the time. She loves wearing dresses, that is all she wants to wear. The fisrt thing she says when you get her dressed is that she wants a pony and a bow for her hair... She is all girl... She is also very into singing. She knows the whole Happy Birthday song. Her singing this is one of the cutest thigns you have ever heard. She is a very LOUD little girl. She screams your name until you answer her. She likes to let everyone know she is around. She Loves her new room that Chris made for her. Everynight when she is ready for bed she says "baba and bankie". She is rady for her bottle and blanket and to go night night. One of us still lays with her until she falls asleep. She is a cuddle bug. She is an amazing little girl, her vocabulary just shocks most people. All in all she is a loud, independent little princess that we love very much.
Baby 3- Baby girl 3 is moving all around. She is still waiting on a name.... We are working on it....

Broken Camera..

So our camera has been in the shop for a few weeks. Chris accidentally dropped it on Claire's 1st birthday, and the flash broke. We have been using it without the flash, but decided it was time to send it in. Hopefully it will be back next week! I had to steal these pics from family and friends blogs. All is well in the Barrow house. Chris just finished Claire's new room. He did such a great job, he painted it, put up a chair rail, and put all her new furniture together. She sleeps in a queen bed, and looks like a little ant in there because she is so little. If she wakes up in the night she climbs out and marches into our room, no crying involved. Last night she came in saying, "DADDY, DADA, DADDY", I was thinking good call Claire calling for your daddy, so mommy doesn't have to get up! She got a few extra m&m's out of the candy jar today for that! (Chris actually outs her to bed 90% of the time, I am blessed with a good husband and they are blessed with a good daddy).
Here are all the cousins playign at Grammy and Pa's house last weekend. This was Sunday, and Monday Corbin came down with a stomach bug... It was a short lived one, but no fun to say the least. Chris stayed home Tuesday to be on puke patrol!
Claire is loving on June and it looks like Sophie is about to clobber someone with her mr. carrot head. Sonner than later two more little girls will be added to this picture. Our baby girl is still nameless. We are working on it. Corbin calls her Ella. He talks all about Ella in my tummy, he also says he has a baby boy in his tummy names Simon.... So as for now her name is Ella!
I will take some pics of Claire's new room.. I also have some cute recent pics of the kids from our little, dinky camera that I will post. Hope all is well with everyone!
